What stores have you been hitting up this year?

So we will be honest with you, when you spend all day looking at dope clothes online, it’s hard not to get caught up in the hype. This addiction for streetwear is founded by some of the best stores on the planet.

We have run through our 10 favourite stores that we cop our garms from. This will be judged on their online shopping experience as well as in store. We are not including single brand stores such as Palace and Supreme.

Keep it locked to Above The Sole for all of your streetwear needs.

Can we please have a moment of silence. colette will no longer be with us in 2018. Arguably the greatest and most influential store in the world, colette has always been a must go to in Paris. They have recently celebrated their closing down with a Balenciaga, Saint Laurent and Chanel take over. There will never be another colette.

Having recently opened a new flagship in Manhattan, Ronnie Fieg’s label has been going from strength to strength. We recently visited the store and any hype brand you want, they have. This is then coupled with an awesome selection of creps, KITH treats, lifestyle goods and arguably the sickest AF1 display you will ever see.

Dover Street Market London

Is there any retailer in the world similar to Dover Street Market? This store is truly something else. If you want the latest CDG, then this is the place to hit. Recently they had a huge Balenciaga exhibit and continually reimagine their spaces to keep everything fresh.

When you think of premium UK stores, END. instantly spring to mind. They help to bridge the gap between streetwear, everyday apparel as well as high fashion. One thing that END. do exceptionally well is online. With a fair Launches system used, everyone has a chance to cop the latest hype goods.

SSENSE is the one stop shop for high fashion online. This was highlighted with Samuel Ross’ A-COLD-WALL* recently debuting an exclusive SSENSE range. If you need a high end brand, hit them up.

SlamJam Socialism

An ever present in the streetwear scene. Having revamped their website earlier this year, this Italian powerhouse is truly one of the greatest stores on the planet. I am making it my mission in 2018 to go to Milan and visit this place, anyway wanna join?

What a 2017 this Russian store has had. Being the first store to stock Heron Preston’s inaugural collection. Then they topped this by ending the year with collabs with the likes of OFF-WHITE, Gosha Rubchinskiy, 424 and ALYX.

424 is easily one of the standout stores in a saturated American market. Their own brand is something to behold and then they give opportunities to lesser known labels to flaunt their credentials. Expect even bigger things in 2018.

Tres Bien

When I heard that this store was working with Polar Skate Co. earlier this year, I was GASSED! They did not disappoint. Mixing a skate aesthetic with streetwear staples, this Swedish retailer is one of the hidden gems on this list. I mean, they have stuff go into sale that many stores sell out of on day of release.

Luisa Via Roma

Rounding off the list with another high end store. LVR is one of Milan’s premium retailers, stocking the likes of Gucci, Prada, Givenchy, OFF-WHITE and many more. Plus it is a hub for dope sneakers.
