The North Face is starting the year with a bang with the colourful ‘Fantasy Ridge’ collection. Paying homage to the “the last great problem” – a term coined by mountaineers to call a mountain peak that has yet to be summited, TNF’s ‘Fantasy Ridge’ capsule is a nod to the brand’s rich mountain climbing heritage.
Encompassing a vast range of different pieces, the highlight of the collection is no doubt the Fantasy Ridge Jacket, which updates a heritage The North Face design from the 1990s. Engineered with DryVent waterproofing technology, it delivers reliable protection from rain and wind while remaining breathable. A selection of roomy pockets gives you plenty of space to stow away your essentials while summiting.
Other pieces included in the ‘Fantasy Ridge’ collection include a soft panelled sweater for those cooler days, a pair of trousers for all-day comfort during urban adventures, a cosy hoodie for a warm layer when you’re out exploring the city, the Mountain Q Jacket which features a seam-sealed construction that stops outside moisture seeping through, and of course, the 1992 Nuptse Vest, which takes inspiration from The North Face’s signature Nuptse jacket.
Revolutionary then and iconic now, The North Face’s ‘Fantasy Ridge’ collection is a must cop wardrobe staple. Inspired by the mountains and made for the city, these are truly some of TNF’s best pieces. That said, if you’re looking for something a little less eye-catching, check out a few other offerings here.
