Days after announcing a collaborative collection with American athletic company Majestic Athletic, BAPE has unveiled a very special 10th anniversary collection for its flagship store located in Shibuya, Tokyo.
Consisting of a unique selection of apparel ranging from hoodies to graphic tees, the pieces will be swathed in the signature ‘SHIBUYA CAMO‘ motif. Among the capsule will be a dark green Shark hoodie complete with ‘WGM‘ branding around the hood, and a pair of black and white tees that feature A Bathing Ape’s signature gorilla head motif, alongside Shibuya’s very own Hachiko Memorial Statue, which is a bronze statue honouring Hachiko, the famously loyal Akita dog.
Accompanying the BAPE 10th anniversary collection is an event hosted at the store that will include musical performances as well as an online broadcast with hip hop-centric TV station AbemaMix. If you’re looking to cop, be sure to be at the Shibuya flagship on October 12th for the official launch.
In related news, rumours have been flooding in stating that BAPE could be teaming up with Supreme for a high profile collaboration which is apparently set to drop next year. This wouldn’t be the first time the brands have collaborated though.
Fifteen years ago, the duo released multiple different versions of the box logo, each with their own BAPE camo print. However, if these rumours do turn out to be true, it’s safe to assume that we can expect a more extensive line up from the two streetwear giants. If you want to find out more, be sure to click here.
