Balenciaga has been absolutely killing it this year. After being crowned the world’s hottest brand by the Lyst Index, the Spanish luxury fashion house has now teamed up with the World Food Programme for a good cause.
In joining forces with the honourable initiative, the Balenciaga looks to convey a message that extends far beyond sartorial excellence, choosing to assist WFP in its mission to suppress hunger by the year 2030.
The collection itself is comprised of hoodies, T-shirts, a pullover, windbreaker, caps, belt bags, and a scarf, all of which features dual branding elements on the front with the phrase “Saving Lives Changing Lives” emblazoned on the back.
From September 6th to February 1st of next year, the Demna Gvasalia-helmed imprint will donate 10% of the sale price of each branded item sold in all Balenciaga stores and online shop, as well as 10% of the suggested retail price via interested business partners carrying these products worldwide. The Balenciaga x World Food Programme collection is now available through the brand’s online shop. In related news, Balenciaga is prepping for autumn with a seven layer £6,000 coat.
